I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in special education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Western Maryland College. I began my professional career as a special education teacher for students with emotional disabilities in Baltimore County Public Schools and then worked as a school counselor in a Middle School Alternative Program. I believe that in order to lead a life of balance, we must attend to both our emotional and physical needs. Embracing the Mind/Body Connection, I joined the Group Fitness Team at Merritt Athletic Club in 2007 as an Instructor.
In 2010, I joined the Inner Journey Counseling Centerand under the supervision and support of Greg Rubin, I earned my Licensed Certified Professional Counselor (LCPC) credentials and I am now thrilled to be in private practice. In 2016, I became certified to be a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Supervisor in Maryland and returned to McDaniel College as an adjunct in the Graduate and Professional Studies Department.
I believe all people have the ability to produce change in their lives and I am humbled and grateful to those who have allowed me to share in their journey. I believe we all have the strength and courage inside us to make improvements. I provide a comfortable, safe therapeutic counseling experience that allows people to utilize and discover the hidden strengths inside them. I consider it a privilege to play a role in the physical and emotional transformations of those with whom I work.
